Chuanwang Miao received his Ph.D. from the School of Medicine, Tsinghua University in 2021. After graduation, he served as an attending physician in the Oncology Department, where he gained clinical experience in oncology practice. In July 2025, he joined the Xiao Dong Laboratory to conduct postdoctoral research.
Jiayi is a sophomore student majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. He joined the Dong lab in April 2025 and hopes to practice his skills in Bioinformatics.
Zhijun is a sophomore majoring in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development, with a minor in Computational Biology at the University of Minnesota. She joined the Dong Lab in February 2025 and hopes strengthening her skills in bioinformatics and biological research.
Jacob Bridge is a third year MCDB&G PhD and BICB MS student in the Dong Lab. He pursued joint undergraduate degrees in genetics and biochemistry at the University of Minnesota, graduating in May 2023. Jacob has led several immune cell engineering projects, and is eager to apply his skills to aging research.
Yiwei Zhao joined the Dong Laboratory in November 2021. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in December 2022 and continued her research in the laboratory as a graduate student in August 2023.
Xiao Ma obtained her Master's degree in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota in June 2022 and started to work as a bioinformatics researcher at UMN after graduation. She joined the Dong Laboratory in April 2023.
Anthony is a second-year PhD student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BICB). He joined the Dong Lab in 2022 and later completed his B.S. in Biology at the University of Minnesota in 2024, continuing in the lab as he transitioned into his graduate research.
Dr. Mahmud obtained his Master’s in Computer Science from Florida International University (FIU), Miami, FL, USA in 2016. He then obtained his master’s (2019) and Ph.D. (2022) in Biostatistics and Data Science from University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), Jackson, MS, USA. After that, he joined in the Xiao Dong Laboratory as Post-Doctoral Associate-Bioinformatics Scientist.
Hannim Jung joined the Dong Lab in September 2021. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota, and currently has her feet in both the dry and wet labs as she explores her interest in bioinformatics.
